Groom Style - The Modern Retro Tux

I love a man who commands attention by being well dressed. There is just something about that confidence that makes a man sexy, especially when he is wearing a tux that fits. The tuxedo has lost it's "wow" factor over the years. It went from the the definition of sophisticated, confident masculine style, to being the that thing you begrudgingly rent for prom and weddings. The art of wearing a tux is slowly coming back as men are beginning to reclaim the tux (the holy grail of men's fashion) as the epitome of cool again

These suits from GQ magazine (worn by Brandon Flowers of The Killers) would be perfect for a classic, modern retro or upscale vintage wedding. Photographs by Paola Kudacki.

Note: None of these suits are worn with a prom vest or cummerbund...yuck!

Peak lapels & a velvet bow tie evoke old-school masculinity. Classic swank.

Midnight blue tux. Sexy, understated, cool.

Don't be afraid of a velvet jacket. Just keep everything else simple.

Hipster: Slim, short, & well, hip!.

Think Clark Gable and Carry Grant. Debonair, with a modern minimal flair.

The white dinner jacket. Classic Bogie. (Humphrey Bogart, for those unfamiliar with the nickname)
