Sarai & Tomas -
The first wedding took place on Saturday, July 18th, at a church not far from my house. It was a lovely service that showcased the couples love for each other, and their unwavering faith in God.
Color scheme: shades of brown and gold for the maids, and black tuxedos for the grooms men.
Flowers: white roses for the decor, and the wedding party. Red roses for the Bride and groom.
The reception was very homemade. Friends and family pitched in to serve, and provide the entertainment for the evening. My favorite part of the evening is when a member of the wedding party performed an original song she wrote in honor of the bride and groom.
Unfortunately, I was unable to take pictures. I forgot my camera! Very silly of me, I know. From now on it stays in my purse.
Alana & Jonell -
The second wedding took place on Sunday, July 19th, in San Pedro. They to showcased a true love for one another and an unwavering faith in God. Alana and Jonell were fortunate to have the privilege of getting married in front of the Korean Friendship Bell, which is located on a small cliff overlooking the ocean. A perfect back drop for a wedding.
The icing on the cake for me was being able to assist the wedding planner. It is my dream job, and to be able to help make my friend's special day come to life is something I will never forget. I was all over the place in my purple heels, and "first lady" church hat, but I enjoyed myself, and best of all, Jonell and Alana enjoyed their day.
As the ceremony got underway, the groom rode in on a white horse, followed by his best man and the remaining attendants. Alana entered escorted by her father, accompanied by the vocal styling of Jesse Campbell.
He was handsome. She was beautiful. Together they were/are a vision of love.
The reception took place at the Reef restaurant, where the master of ceremonies was a comedian! There was laughter, good food (buffet) and warm people. When it came time for the first dance, which was choreographed by Snow Urbin from Dancing with the Stars, a funny thing happened involving glitter. I wish I had pictures. As part of the dance, Jonell wanted to blow glitter out from his palm, like pixie dust. Well, it ended up all over his face and suit instead. It was a truly funny moment and my favorite of the night.
For this wedding I had my camera, but because I was assisting the WP I didn't have much time to snap photos. When I was able to sit and enjoy the wedding, the pictures I did snap came out all dark. Majorly upset, but glad I have my memories.
