In the words of little orphan annie, "Tomorrow, tomorrow!"

I am so excited to share this wonderful rock'n'roll wedding with you today, shot by the uber talented photographer Jill DeVries. I asked her to share what she loved about shooting this wedding, favorite elements etc, and here is what she had to say:
I loved so much about this wedding! It was really an honor to shoot. Every aspect was not only DIY (all the decor, invites, art, etc), it was also just a perfect reflection of Johnny & Jenny. They are laid back and fun -- they ran around town hanging up Mr. T posters on their first date :) They are creative and stylish -- Jenny is a hair stylist and Johnny runs a tattoo shop and ink company, plus both of them are talented artists. You can see these parts of their personality shine through in the wedding and its details.
I loved that they just did what was them, what they wanted to do, even if it was different or risky. The flower girl was beautiful, the ring ninja was AWESOME!
The location was really fun and so unique. The vows were creative and unique and meaningful (I wrote a little bit about those on my blog).
Jenny had a gorgeous vintage dress, and all the girls got to pick their own black dresses. Really, it was exactly what a wedding should be: a celebration of their love and their commitment, a reflection of their personalities, and a big party for the awesome community of friends and family who have supported and loved them.
Jenny and Johnny were married in Rosa Parks Circle, a public space in the heart of downtown grand rapids.

Here's a sneak peek of Jenny & Johnny's absolutely fabulous rock 'n' roll wedding shot by the ubber talented Jill Devries.

I love "What a day for a daydream" by Lovin Spoonful. Even more, I love how Paolo and Jehro cover it. It would be fabulous for a trendy, hipster, or non-traditional wedding. Enjoy!

Love, love, love! Actually love doesn't do it justice. These dresses are definitely going to be mine when the time is right. I'm so excited, I can hardly stand it!!
Say hello to Gwen. Silk taffeta with metallic, pink shimmer woven in; a bodice made of a pale pink lace with sparkly embroidery, and pockets! I'm in love!

Stephanie James Couture simply rocks my world! Her store is located in Huntington Beach, and is reminiscent of a vintage department store, from the decor and dresses right down to the floor! (really, the floor features hand painted black and white tiles!) You can order online, drop into her store, or one of the many bridal shops that stock her dresses. (check her website for more info)
Be sure to check her blog for the latest SJC news and new dress photos.

Cupcakes are my most favorite obsession. They're a guilt free, sweet dessert that always puts a smile on my face! Below are a few of the bakeries I am dying to try out and if they taste as good as they look, watch out! I may have to retract the guilt free statement.
